| What Are Persian Meels? | Persian Meels (also called meel or mil) are traditional strength tools from Iran, used in the Zurkhaneh (“House of Strength”) and the Persian warrior training system known as Pahlavani. They’re swung in smooth circular patterns to build: ✔️ Shoulder strength & stability |
| Why Train With Persian Meels? | Persian Meels don’t isolate muscles the way traditional gym exercises do. Instead, they train the shoulder girdle as one connected system. The shoulder is a ball-and-socket joint, designed for rotational, circular movement — not just pushing or pulling in a single plane like presses and raises. Persian Meels develop true circular shoulder strength, teaching the shoulders, arms, and upper back to move in unison while accelerating and decelerating the load through large, rotational ranges of motion. Very few training tools can do this effectively — clubs, maces and meels are among the few tools that load the shoulder the way it’s actually built to move. |
| Benefits of Persian Meel Training | ✅ Improve shoulder mobility while building strength 💥 If you throw, strike, grapple, climb, swing, or lift… the carryover is huge! |
